Just in case you didn’t get the memo, Social Media isn’t slowing down, in fact, in my humble opinion, we are just getting started. The growth in which digital platorms have evolved over the past 10 years are absolutely staggering.
Jeff Bullas recently wrote a post about the 33 Social Media Facts and Statistics You Should Know in 2015, I HIGHLY reccomend scrolling through that article and making sure you are in the know.

Check out the [REPLAY] of the LIVE stream that was cast last night thanks to our friends at Books & Books! BIG thanks to my friends at Yelp Miami for being a sponsor!
Gatorade NAILS IT with thier epic 90-second farewell and salute to Yankees superstar Derek Jeter.
Gatorade’s consumer engagement team, showed Adweek a preview of the commercial, which shows Jeter surprising fans outside Yankee Stadium to the tune of Sinatra’s “My Way.” <= GENIUS!

Social Media SUCKS for DiGiorno Pizza with one careless tweet last night that put their reputation at risk.
After a video of Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee Janay Palmer surfaced, which led to his termination from the Baltimore Ravens, thousands of women jumped on Twitter to discuss their physically and emotionally negative experiences in abusive situations. They used the #WhyIStayed hashtag to contest the victim-blaming attitude which was that of Palmer’s critics, who constantly questioned why she would marry someone who would knock her out.
A million apologies. Did not read what the hashtag was about before posting.

Jumping onto the popular hashtag, DiGiorno clearly didn’t look into its context before tweeting, “#whyistayed You had pizza.”
Hootsuite just produced a detailed white paper on “Social Selling” specifically geared towards Sales Executives.
The report shows the impact that Social Media is having on the sales process including, but not limited to, faster connections and easier buying decisions simply because today’s buyer is more informed and educated about the brand’s product.
“The need for social selling stems from a fundamental shift in the way people buy goods and services in an online world. Simply put, today’s purchasers are better informed and far better connected, thanks to social media.” –Hootsuite.com

If you currently handle Social Media for your company OR you are a business owner that is currently handling your own Social Media then this conference is a MUST!
I’ve been affiliated with SocialFresh for the past 3 years and I’ve been to 4 events on each coast and I must say, every time I walk away “refreshed” (pun intended) with new knowledge and a better understanding of Social Media!
This event always sells out, so don’t delay. It’s practically in the neighborhood, just 4 short hours north in Orlando on Thursday 07/18-19!

Social Media is no longer a “should” it is now a “MUST” – the important thing to think about is how much business you may be losing out on by NOT using social to tell the story about your brand, it’s VITAL!
Word of mouth is at an all time high, peer reccomendations drive buying decisions and social media only amplifies that process.
Hope you’re having an incredibly productive day!
